Ingredients:
- 2 cups maida (all-purpose flour)
- 1 tbsp milk powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup plain yogurt (or buttermilk)
- 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
- 2 tbsp minced garlic
- Fresh chopped cilantro (optional, for garnish)
Preparation Method:
- Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine maida, milk powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add Wet Ingredients: Stir in yogurt and oil to form a soft dough. Knead for 3-4 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover the dough and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
- Prepare the Naan: Divide the dough into 6 equal-sized balls. Roll each ball into a thin oval or round shape.
- Add Garlic: Sprinkle minced garlic on top and gently press it into the dough.
- Cook the Naan: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Place the rolled dough on the skillet, cooking each side for 1-2 minutes or until bubbles appear and it turns golden brown.
- Finish with Butter and Cilantro: Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with chopped cilantro, if desired.
Serve warm and enjoy your delicious homemade garlic naan with your favorite dishes!
