Ingredients:
- 6 Weet-Bix, crushed
- 1 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup plain flour
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 125 g butter or margarine
- Almonds and pumpkin seeds for garnish
Preparation Method:
- Preheat your oven to 150°C (fan forced).
- Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl. Add the butter and sugar, then mix well with an electric beater until creamy.
- Incorporate the crushed Weet-Bix, followed by the milk, and beat again until combined.
- Shape the mixture as desired (rolling into flat balls works well) and garnish with almonds and pumpkin seeds.
- Bake for about 10 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool and store in an airtight container.
Tips:
- For added flavor, consider mixing in some vanilla extract or cinnamon.
- You can substitute some of the sugar with honey or maple syrup for a different sweetness.
- Experiment with other toppings, like dried fruits or chocolate chips, for variation.
