Eggless Vanila Cake













Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup yogurt (plain or Greek)
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup milk (or a non-dairy alternative)
  • 1 tbsp vinegar (white or apple cider)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch round cake pan or line it with parchment paper.

  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix the yogurt, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, milk, and vinegar until well combined.

  4. Combine Mixtures: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Gently fold the mixture until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; some lumps are okay.

  5. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  6. Cool: Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

  7. Serve: You can enjoy it plain, dusted with powdered sugar, or frosted with your favorite icing!

Tips:

  • For added flavor, you can mix in some lemon or orange zest.
  • You can also add chocolate chips or nuts for extra texture.
