Easy Avocado Dip at Home



Ingredients:
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 1-2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
  • 1 lime (juiced)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (optional)
  • Jalapeño, finely chopped (optional)

Preparation Method:

  1. Prepare the Avocados: Cut the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.

  2. Mash: Use a fork or a potato masher to mash the avocados to your desired consistency (smooth or chunky).

  3. Add Ingredients: Stir in the chopped onion, diced tomato, minced garlic (if using), lime juice, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

  4. Taste and Adjust: Taste the dip and adjust seasoning, adding more lime juice, salt, or pepper as needed.

  5. Add Fresh Ingredients: If you like, fold in the chopped cilantro and jalapeño for extra flavor.

  6. Serve: Transfer the avocado dip to a serving bowl. Serve immediately with tortilla chips, veggies, or as a spread on sandwiches!

Tips:

  • Storage: To prevent browning, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the dip before refrigerating.
