A healthy and flavorful dish combining protein-rich tofu and nutrient-packed spinach, Tofu Palak is the perfect comfort meal for any occasion. Quick, easy, and packed with vibrant flavors!
Ingredients:
- 1 bunch of spinach, shredded
- 200g tofu, cubed
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 cup wheat flour
- 2 tbsp oil
- Water, as needed
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 tsp ghee or clarified butter
Preparation Method:
- Heat oil in a pan, and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add the chopped onions and garlic. Sauté until golden brown.
- Add the shredded spinach and cook for 5-8 minutes until it wilts and turns dark green.
- Stir in the coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cover the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Pour in half a cup of water, followed by a mixture of wheat flour dissolved in water. Stir well and let it cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the gravy to thicken.
- Gently add the tofu cubes and simmer for a few more minutes.
- Finish by garnishing with ghee or clarified butter, and serve hot with chapati, paratha, rice, or bread.
