Tofu Palak Curry, healthier than Palak Paneer

A healthy and flavorful dish combining protein-rich tofu and nutrient-packed spinach, Tofu Palak is the perfect comfort meal for any occasion. Quick, easy, and packed with vibrant flavors!


Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch of spinach, shredded
  • 200g tofu, cubed
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup wheat flour
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Water, as needed
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp ghee or clarified butter

Preparation Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan, and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add the chopped onions and garlic. Sauté until golden brown.
  2. Add the shredded spinach and cook for 5-8 minutes until it wilts and turns dark green.
  3. Stir in the coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cover the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Pour in half a cup of water, followed by a mixture of wheat flour dissolved in water. Stir well and let it cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the gravy to thicken.
  5. Gently add the tofu cubes and simmer for a few more minutes.
  6. Finish by garnishing with ghee or clarified butter, and serve hot with chapati, paratha, rice, or bread.
